DECEMBER 13 UPDATE:
Microsoft’s first five stores are at Scottsdale, Arizona, Mission Viejo and San Diego, California, Lone Tree, Colorado and Oakbrook, Illinois. Store #7 is now open in Bellevue, Washington.
The games have begun!! On November 6, 2010, Microsoft opened its 6th store in Bloomington, MN at Mall of America. Store opening was announced for 9 am; by Shareology’s reckoning, the actual doors opened at 9:49 am. Below is a highly edited vision of Saturday morning:
when she broke news of the new neighbors-to-be in Mall of America 1st floor South…
Shareology hung out on the 2nd floor overlooking the Microsoft 1st floor store because the view on 1st floor was a tad obscured. Guess who else was hangin’ on 2nd? Besides other photog types, Shareology was joined by three imports from Redmond, Washington!
OKay, only 4 more pics to go (imagine lots of M-I-C-R-O-S-O-F-T yelling from the cheerleaders in Microsoft colors, and the cheerleaders in white go-go boots, gobs of lines winding around 1st South, the sight of Julio Ojeda-Zapata taking pics for the Pioneer Press, and my fav: the shark from Underwater World navigating the edge of the crowd. It was that kinda morning.)
Shareology was found out in Nickelodeon Universe, dancing to Poker Face in a pop-up store featuring Kinect for XBox 360…..more on that (yes, and photos..) later this week…. (Smart move, opening a pop-up store in Nickelodeon Universe!!)
Before you head to 162 South Avenue at Mall of America to visit Microsoft and their neighbor across the hall, Apple — let’s take one more look at some folks who had a real great morning:
